A partnership addressing the housing shortage across Cambridge

Cambridge City Council and Hill Investment Partnerships have joined forces to address the housing shortage across Cambridge. Through the creation of the Cambridge Investment Partnership (CIP), we are investing in and transforming Council-owned and other land across the city by bringing together the best of public and private sector expertise, and providing homes that are fit for the future.

Through the partnership, we are tackling Cambridge’s affordable housing shortage, all with a focus on optimising value for the Council, whilst maintaining excellence in design and place-making.

By the end of March 2022, we will have started work on site of 500 new council homes across the city, and we are currently in planning for a further 500 homes.

We are also united in a passion for building with the community in mind. As part of any development we will carefully consider community and commercial amenities that will provide the most social value – like community centres and green spaces. We believe in creating vibrant communities for the long-term that support the local economy.

Please contact us if you have any queries on CIP or its projects.
