We recently teamed up with North Cambridge Academy, GSQ Brickwork and Inspire 2 Ignite CIC to deliver an exciting Skills Day, as part of their Innovate to Renovate programme.
Students formed teams and identified areas of their school they wanted to improve. From healthy vending machines to a covered playground area, they developed business plans focused on sustainability and the benefits to students, staff, and the wider community.
They also got hands-on with a creative engineering challenge, building bridges from lollipop sticks and pegs, testing their strength and design thinking!
Our partner GSQ Brickwork delivered a practical bricklaying and commercial session, while Molly from Cambridge City Council spoke about development and regeneration across the city.
Hill Group UK management trainees also shared their journeys from education into the construction industry – inspiring the next generation to see what’s possible.
