Exploring opportunties in the construction industry with Olive Academy

Recently, we hosted an insight day with Inspire 2 Ignite CIC and a fantastic cohort of young people from Olive Academy, exploring the wide range of opportunities within the construction industry – from routes into the sector to personal career journeys.

The day included open discussions about education, pathways into construction, and a fun ice-breaker game using curious Jenga blocks, asking questions like our biggest fears, and our dream jobs, etc to encourage them to open up to each other.

They then had to give a presentation exploring questions such as “What career did you imagine yourself having when you were a teenager?” “What connections did you have back then?”

Huge thanks to the Hill Group Management Trainees, BIM Manager, and Social Value Team who took part in helping to ignite curiosity, break down barriers, and inspire the builders, designers, and leaders of tomorrow.
