The Council is committed to maximising affordable housing in the city. This project demonstrates how the investment partnership model makes this possible. At Campkin Road, CIP replaced 32 post war aging flats which are no longer fit for purpose with 75 new homes. 100% are affordable, contributing to the Council’s 500 Council Home Programme. The Council successfully rehoused residents during Covid to enable this scheme to start on site.

Public Art:
Artist Hermione Spriggs worked with the pupils at Grove Primary School to explore the origin of King’s Hedges and the role hedges played in shaping the physical landscape and cultural identity of the area. Her research informed the artwork featured at Campkin Road.
