Colville Road Phase 2
Colville Road is a major regeneration project for CIP, replacing two housing blocks with a much larger housing scheme and improved landscaping.

Meadows Centre and Buchan Street
The Meadows Centre and Buchan Street development is a major regeneration of existing community facilities in North Cambridge. It will provide new council homes alongside a new community hub to serve the local community

The Meadows Centre will be redeveloped to provide a new community hub and approximately 78 new council rented homes. This will be accompanied by significant investment in improving the public open space.
The Buchan Street Neighbourhood Centre will be redeveloped to relocate the nursery and community facilities into the new Meadows community hub and provide approximately 28 new council rented homes, a larger new shop and community café.
We look forward to meeting local residents and stakeholders to discuss the latest designs for both redevelopments at the Meadows Community Centre, Tuesday 1st October from 3pm – 8pm, and at the Buchan Street Neighbourhood Centre, Friday 4th October, 2pm – 4pm.

Akeman Street

Akeman Street
The Akeman Street site will regenerate an existing retail centre with modern, well-designed housing and a replacement for the Akeman Street Community Centre.

This site will deliver 14 new council rented homes with a mix of one- and 2-bedroom flats and maisonettes. In addition there will be three retail units and a community centre provided.

Cromwell Road

Cromwell Road
Cromwell Road is a new housing development in the heart of the city. This is the largest scheme in the CIP pipeline and will deliver a mix of flats and houses both for market sale and for council rent. In addition, the development will provide a new open space and community facilities.
Building on the former Ridgeons site, Cromwell Road will enhance the cityscape and bring brownfield land into beneficial use.
Homes: 295


Cromwell Road will be a mixed tenure scheme with 177 new homes for private sale and 118 council rented homes. In addition, facilities will be provided for an early years or community medical facility. The new park will incorporate sustainable drainage features and be linked to the Chisholm trail.

The Wulfstan Way site was one of five garage sites to be completed by the partnership.
The development provides two 2-bed and one 3-bed Council rented houses with off-street parking.
The has been built simultaneously with the other CIP sites at Queens Meadow, Markham Close, Colville Garages and Gunhild Way.

Ventress Close

Ventress Close
The Ventress Close site is an infill project taking in the central area of a residential block in Queen Edith’s Ward. By making better use of space CIP aims to enhance the cityscape and increase the supply of council housing.

Anstey Way

Anstey Way
Anstey Way is the first completed development for the partnership which was established three years ago in a bid to tackle the affordable housing shortage across Cambridge.
The development has replaced 26 aging council homes that were previously on the site with 56 one, two and three bedroom council rented apartments for local residents.

The completed development contains 17 one-bed flats, 37 two-bed flats and two three-bed flats. Off-street parking is included in the design as well as tree and landscaping provision.

This site was made available through the Council’s land audit. Underused land on Coldham’s lane was identified to be developed for new housing.

The Queens Meadow site, is the first of five garage sites to be completed by the partnership.
