City development sites and projects underway by CIP

Meadows Centre and Buchan Street

The Meadows Centre and Buchan Street development is a major regeneration of existing community facilities in North Cambridge. It will provide new council homes alongside a new community hub to serve the local community

Homes: 106

The Meadows Centre will be redeveloped to provide a new community hub and approximately 78 new council rented homes. This will be accompanied by significant investment in improving the public open space.

The Buchan Street Neighbourhood Centre will be redeveloped to relocate the nursery and community facilities into the new Meadows community hub and provide approximately 28 new council rented homes, a larger new shop and community café.

We look forward to meeting local residents and stakeholders to discuss the latest designs for both redevelopments at the Meadows Community Centre, Tuesday 1st October from 3pm – 8pm, and at the Buchan Street Neighbourhood Centre, Friday 4th October, 2pm – 4pm.

Thank you to everyone who attended the public exhibitions, we really appreciate your feedback. For any who were unable to attend, a link to the consultation boards displayed at the events is available to view here.

Your feedback on the proposed designs is highly valued and will help us to address any concerns in the next phase of the design. You can access the feedback form on this link.
