Cambridge Investment Partnership shortlisted for two Cambridge Business Awards

Cambridge Investment Partnership (CIP) has been shortlisted in two categories at the Cambridge Business Awards 2026, recognising the partnership’s commitment to collaboration, innovation and sustainable housing delivery across the city.

The partnership has been shortlisted for the Award for Collaboration for its work at Barnwell Square, a landmark regeneration project in East Cambridge that is delivering 120 new council homes alongside a new library, community centre, preschool, café, flexible commercial space and a vibrant public square.

Barnwell Square demonstrates CIP’s integrated approach to creating places that meet housing needs while providing the community facilities and public spaces that help neighbourhoods thrive.

CIP has also been shortlisted for the Green Award in recognition of the Cam Standard, an innovative framework developed by Cambridge City Council to guide the delivery of sustainable, low-carbon council homes across the city.

The Cam Standard sets out ambitious requirements for energy efficiency, thermal comfort and climate resilience, helping to ensure new homes are future-ready and support lower energy use for residents. The framework is now shaping the delivery of council housing across Cambridge and forms a key part of the city’s response to the climate emergency.

The Cambridge Business Awards celebrate organisations that are making an outstanding contribution to the Cambridgeshire economy and recognise excellence across a range of sectors. The awards provide an opportunity to showcase the innovation, collaboration and leadership demonstrated by businesses and organisations across the region.

The winners of the Cambridge Business Awards 2026 will be announced later this year.
